SEO Process

How we get you ahead of your competitors.

1. Find what your customers are searching for.

We call this Keyword Research, but, put simply, we find the exact words, terms, and phrases your customers are searching for related to your products and services.

2. Make your website search-friendly.

This involves making your website more user friendly – technically and in terms of readability. This includes making it mobile-friendly, fast-loading, secure, and including your keywords clearly.

3. Get your brand known online.

Also known as “Off-Page SEO”, this involves building links (and mentions) from other websites to your website. Google sees backlinks, testimonials, and mentions of your business as a sign of trust and authority, making it more likely for Google to recommend you.

SEO FAQs.

What is SEO?

This is the process whereby your website is set to outperform those of your competitors in the search results. SEO also helps your site show up more often in relevant searches.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the practice of including content on your site that has the potential to improve your site’s visibility to search engines and their users.

What is a Keyword?

A Keyword or Key phrase is a phrase, word, or group of words Google links to relevant web pages.

 For example:

– Plumber in richmond
– Plumber harrow
– Plumber twickenham
– Plumber ealing
– Plumber surrey
– Emergency plumber in middlesex

What is a Backlink and why does it matter?

A backlink is a link on another website that points to a page on your website.

Backlinks are one of the most important factors for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) because Google uses them to determine the authority and trustworthiness of your website. The more high-quality backlinks you have, the more likely it is that Google will trust you and thus rank you in their search results.

Our SEO strategy includes ways to create more quality backlinks such as:

  1. News articles.
  2. Forums.
  3. Business Directories.
  4. Social Media Posts with links.
  5. Reviews on client sites.

What is the difference between Local SEO and normal SEO?

Regular SEO and Local SEO are both ways to improve your website’s visibility in search results, but they target different audiences and use slightly different methods.

Regular SEO aims for a broader target area, such as regional, national or even global. It focuses on ranking well for keywords relevant to your industry, with a low emphasis on location.

Local SEO focuses on customers in a local area, like a suburb, city, town, or region. It targets searches with local intent, like “best plumber near me” or “Italian restaurants in Epsom.”

In summary:
Think of regular SEO as casting a wide net to attract a broad audience. Local SEO is like targeted fishing, attracting customers specifically looking for businesses in your area.

How long does it take to start ranking at the top of Google Search?

Local Reach:
Results can be seen in 1-4 months of ongoing Local SEO. However, it depends on a number of factors, including how close your business is located to the searcher, how good your competitors Local SEO is, the relevance of your services to the search term, and more.

Regional Reach:
Results usually take 6-18 months of ongoing SEO.

National/Global Reach:
Results range from 12-36 months of ongoing SEO.

*Speed of results will depend on your SEO investment, competition, and business/product type.

What is Local SEO is best for?

Local SEO is best for:

— Medical services
— Shop fronts
— Bars, Cafe’s & Restaurants
— Legal & Accounting Practices
— Architects
— Catering
— Pet Services
— Real estate
— Franchises

How will Local SEO help my business get more customers?

Have you ever searched for a local service on Google and then saw something like this?

This is called the “Map Park”, and for any local buisness, this is where you want to be to get more customers.

These businesses didn’t get here by accident. It took a lot of intentional Local SEO work to get into the Map pack.

Here’s what it can do for your business:

  • Get more Phone Calls & Shop Visits
  • Get more customers visiting your website
  • More phone calls and website visits means improved sales.
  • Gain market share.

How does Local SEO work?

Local SEO is all about making sure your business shows up in local search results. Whenever someone searches for something like “best family dentist near me” or “trendy cafe in Surrey”, local SEO helps your business appear at the top of those searches.

Here’s how Google decides which businesses to show first:

Relevance:
How well your business matches what the user is searching for. This means having the right keywords on your website and online listings. For local SEO, you can include location-specific words like your city or neighborhood.

Location:
How far the searcher is from your business location. For example, someone searching for “junior football club near me” is more likely to see junior football clubs in their area than in other areas futher away.

Trust:
Google is a brand built on referring people to reliable to the most reliable information or business. So they are more likely to refer businesses they determine as trustworthy. It determines a businesses trustworthiness based on positive online reviews, listings of your business name, address, and phone number (NAP), online mentions of your business, and social media.

By optimising these three areas, your local SEO will improve, and your business will be seen by more local customers.

Here are some of the specific things we do to improve your Local SEO:

Google Business Profile (formerly called Google My Business)
We setup or optimise your Google Business Profile which provides Google, and customers, with your important business information. It’s like saying in very clear terms – “Here we are, we’re open, this is what we do, this is how you can get in touch.”

Local Links:
We build local mentions of your brand to show your authority in the outlying areas.

Schema Markup:
Adding Schema Markup on your website provides Google with clearer instructions on what your business information is.

Reviews:
More than ever before reviews have become an important ranking factor. Especially when users search for “best…” or “top…“ We help you get more positive reviews from your customers, and manage responses to them.

Citations:
A Citation is any mention of your brands Name, Address and Phone number which will build your brand’s local online reputation. We list your business on a range of business directories.

How long do the results of Local SEO last?

Local SEO done correctly results in years of local relevance, local customer calls and good quality website traffic. Remember that Google recommends businesses it trusts the most. So as long as you are more “trustworthy” than your competitors, you will rank high for local search results. Make sure to keep your online presence and business details up to date, and consistent.

It’s also important to consider that your competitors will probably try to work on their Local SEO so that they can get ahead of you. Once you start to see this happen, it will be time to reinvest in Local SEO in order to try and get back ahead.

Can I just pay Google to promote my business to show for relevant search terms?

Yes, you can. And this can be a very effective marketing strategy for your business, if you need immediate results.

However, the downsides with this method, is that as soon as you stop paying Google, you will stop ranking high. Also, if not done right, it can be more expensive than it’s worth.

Furthermore, organic search results have a significantly higher click-through-rate than paid search results. The average click-through-rate for the #1 and #2 organic results on Google are 28.5% and 15.7%. The average click-through-rate for paid search is about 2%.

So as you can see, SEO is a more sustainable and effective option than Paid Google Advertising.
