Cloning a subsite in your WordPress Multisite network is simple and fast using the NS Cloner plugin. This is ideal for quickly duplicating a template or base site with all the same design, functionality, plugins and settings.

đź“‹ Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Log in to the Network Admin
    1. Go to: https://weaverbirdweb.com/wp-admin/network/
  2. Navigate to NS Cloner
    1. From the left sidebar, click on NS Cloner.
  3. Choose the Cloning Mode
    1. By default, Standard Clone will be selected. This is suitable for most use cases and creates a full copy of your selected site.
  4. Select the Source Site
    1. Under “Select Source,” choose the site you want to clone from the dropdown (e.g., Weaverbird Web – weaverbirdweb.com).
  5. Set Up the New Site
    1. Under “Create New Site,” fill in:
      1. Site Title – This is the name that will show in your site list.
      2. Site URL – This defines the subsite path (e.g., https://weaverbirdweb.com/new-site).
  6. Click “Clone”
    1. Hit the bright yellow Clone button at the bottom right.
That’s it!

NS Cloner will automatically copy over:
